Key Responsibilities

• Automate data-update process, database management, data analyses and visualisation
• Build dissemination tools to effectively distribute the automated products
• Lead a team of junior analyst programmers and report project status to project manager
• Assist in economic and financial research using machine learning / big data techniques

Requirements

• University degree in computer science, information systems, data science, or relevant fields
• Experience in delivering IT solutions, especially in automation, ETL development, data warehouse, and/or data visualisation preferable
• Proficiency in relational databases (e.g. PostgreSQL), statistical software (e.g. R), big data solutions (e.g. Hadoop), ETL tools (e.g. Kettle, Informatica), data visualisation tools (e.g. Tableau) and programming languages (e.g. Python). Knowledge of web application a definite advantage
• Highly motivated with good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good command of both written and spoken English and Chinese; Putonghua an advantage
