Job Description

The Job

Reporting to Senior Manager (Enforcement), the appointee’s major duties will include the following:

  • Conduct assessments on and investigations into suspected non-compliances and breaches under the new ORSO and MPFSO;
  • Prepare investigation reports and recommend appropriate follow-up actions;
  • Work with ORSO Schemes Department to discuss with scheme operators on possible ways to resolve the non-compliances;
  • Make assessment on rectification plans submitted by scheme operators;
  • Seek legal advice on investigations and any issues if necessary;
  • Supervise the preparation of management reports and statistics;
  • Assist Senior Manager in developing and updating relevant departmental operational procedures and policies;
  • Coach, develop and enhance the skills and expertise of subordinates; and
  • Provide support to projects and perform other duties as assigned by the Management.

 

The Person

  • A recognized degree, preferably in law, finance, economics, accounting or business discipline, or equivalent;
  • At least six years of experience in litigation or compliance, regulatory enforcement / investigation, financial regulation, retirement schemes / pensions or investment / banking;
  • Good analytical skills;
  • Good command of English and Chinese; and
  • Good communication skills

 

Remuneration Package 

A competitive remuneration and benefits package including a discretionary performance-linked variable pay, annual leave, medical, dental and life insurance coverage, and MPF will be offered. The appointment will be made initially on a two-year fixed-term contract with the possibility of renewal of the appointment, subject to operational needs and staff performance.
