Job Description
Responsibilities

  • Organise and run client events, seminars and conferences of various scales, including managing project planning, budgeting, production, and logistics
  • Act as project manager on projects assigned by the team leader and work effectively with resources from other departments
  • Maintain close contact with third-party associations and chambers’ marketing contacts, pitching for joint events and coverage of hot topics and client issues
  • Provide suggestions from a marketing prospective for all the joint events with chambers /business associations/third party organisations
  • External vendor management to negotiate price and control quality
  • Identify KPMG speakers for chambers’ interviews and speaker engagement request
  • Oversee and coordinate external and internal promotion of KPMG projects
  • Assist in other ad-hoc marketing projects

Experience and Knowledge

  • 3-5 years’ experience of events gained within a corporate environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Language skills and relevant experience of working with other nationalities or cultures would be useful. Good spoken and written Mandarin and English required
  • Excellent computer proficiency skills including managing information in large databases, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word

Education and Professional Certifications

  • Strong educational background – Degree in Marketing & Communications or related area preferred

  • A good team player with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
  • Clarity of expression and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Confidence to approach and work with all team members
  • Ability to identify best practice, communicate progress and resolve issues
