- Organise and run client events, seminars and conferences of various scales, including managing project planning, budgeting, production, and logistics
- Act as project manager on projects assigned by the team leader and work effectively with resources from other departments
- Maintain close contact with third-party associations and chambers’ marketing contacts, pitching for joint events and coverage of hot topics and client issues
- Provide suggestions from a marketing prospective for all the joint events with chambers /business associations/third party organisations
- External vendor management to negotiate price and control quality
- Identify KPMG speakers for chambers’ interviews and speaker engagement request
- Oversee and coordinate external and internal promotion of KPMG projects
- Assist in other ad-hoc marketing projects
Experience and Knowledge
- 3-5 years’ experience of events gained within a corporate environment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Language skills and relevant experience of working with other nationalities or cultures would be useful. Good spoken and written Mandarin and English required
- Excellent computer proficiency skills including managing information in large databases, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word
Education and Professional Certifications
- Strong educational background – Degree in Marketing & Communications or related area preferred

- Ability to work to tight deadlines, and work under pressure
- Ability to use own initiative and judgement
- A good team player with the ability to communicate with all levels of staff
- Clarity of expression and excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Professional and disciplined, high levels of energy and self-motivation
- Confidence to approach and work with all team members
- Ability to identify best practice, communicate progress and resolve issues
