Job Description
This is a fixed-term contract position of minimum 2 years with possibility for renewal subject to organization need and individual performance.
Responsibilities:
- Assist the Manager to design, implement and maintain Self Boarding Gate solutions, develop user requirement specifications, functional design for developers or contractors based on business requirement
- Provide technical support in collaboration with other IT Airport Check-In System and Technical Services colleagues on the areas related to the Self Boarding Gate
- Liaise with internal and external business users of the Authority by different project management tasks
- Manage internal developers and external contractors to ensure delivery of quality solutions that effectively address the business needs
- Review the progress of internal developers and external contractors, manage contractors software design and development quality to ensure the implementation of appropriate application architecture, standards and best practices in the development activities, including documentation, design programming, testing, installation and implementation
- Monitor the performance of the responsible application systems to identify areas of possible enhancement and close out outstanding system issues by implementing fixes or upgrades. Plan and conduct system activities such as system upgrade and drill exercises
- Supervise the Self Boarding Gate solution provider and other ACIS contractors on performing FAT, SAT and UAT
- Ensure smooth system operations by providing instructions and expert advice to first level support staff
Requirements:
- Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines, with at least 5 years’ of relevant working experience
- Minimum 4 years of project management experience
- Proven application development and support experience in large scale mission critical systems
- Expert level skills in Windows, UNIX and Linux, major DBMS (such as Oracle, DB2 and Microsoft SQL servers) and related development tools such as C/C++ and Jave EE
- Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage
