Responsibilities:

• Act as the project manager and technical support leader in IT systems projects and provide technical expertise support activities.
• Assist the Manager to lead the internal developers and external software development contractors to deliver solutions that effectively address the business’s needs.
• Support the Manager in the daily management of the service support contractors.
• Review the contractor process report and settle the outstanding system issues by implementing fixes or upgrades for the systems.
• Develop functional design and specifications for developers and contractors based on users’ requirements.
• Participate in procurement exercises and monitor the IT systems to identify areas for possible enhancement for optimal solutions.
• Ensure smooth system operations by providing instructions and expert advice to first level support staff, plan and conduct system activities such as system upgrade and drill exercises.
• Perform additional duties from time to time, as required by management.
• Manage internal developers and external contractors to ensure delivery of quality solutions that effectively address the business needs and to ensure the industrial standards and best practices are implemented in the development activities; including documentation, design, programming, testing, installation and implementation.
• Liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, contractors, suppliers in relation to planning, project/programme management and support functions.

Requirements:

• Degree holder in Information Technology, Computer Science or related disciplines.
• At least 5 years’ of relevant working experience in which at least 4 years’ experience in Project Management.
• Possession of Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and/ or ITIL certification is preferred.
• Proven application development and support experience in large scale mission critical systems.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with all levels of the organization.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Proven technical, interpersonal and communication skills, with IT management experience in large scale mission critical systems.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese. Knowledge of Putonghua is an advantage.
