Objectives:
  • Operates the IS infrastructure services for the company
  • Coordinates and works with other IS infrastructure departments and external providers to deliver mission critical services to the company
  • Encourage the use of standard Information Services of the division within the business / functional units of the company
  • Introduce and Promote new IT Innovations within the company
  • Support a user group size of appr. 1500 users
  • Support local IT Infrastructure projects
  • Main Tasks:
  • As part of Regional Business Partner Services:
    • Assist in the conduct activities to increase the awareness within the local business/ functional units regarding services and products.
    • Collect feedback from users and channel them to the appropriate service delivery teams within the organization, whenever appropriate
    • Monitor and improve user satisfaction towards IT Infrastructure Services provided
    • Participate in and support global and regional activities
    • Focus on quality and continuous improvement activities, e.g. application and sharing of knowledge, quality of work, driving and adapting to change and communication skills
  • As part of Demand Management:
    • Assist to coordinate and aggregate IT Infrastructure demands from the various business / functional units
    • Perform role of a competent infrastructure service and solution content expert to provide support for the purpose of enhancing user support and for the designing of effective, fit-for-Asia Pacific-purpose IS infrastructure solutions and services.
  • As part of Issue Management:
    • Organize and perform resolution for all service incidents and problem escalations arising in the site. Trigger appropriate actions, working closely with the respective teams to bring about timely communication, restoration and closure.
  • As part of local Information Management:
    • Coordinate local On-site activities in the site in support of SLAs, of internal teams and external providers, for daily infrastructure services, related to Workplace support, Network support and Server support. Acts as the Local contact for IS service providers.
    • Implement and operate all local specific solutions, services and specialties installed in the site.
    • Perform data update and maintenance such that data pertaining to all locally installed IS Assets in the site is timely updated in the BASF global asset databases, and that usage statistics are accurately reported as required. (*refers to all hardware, software licenses, warranties, maintenance, service agreements, etc.)
    • Support the implementation of Business Continuity Plans of critical local IS Infrastructure components in the site.
    • Responsible for the annual Hardware Investment planning for existing "BAU" hardware in the legal entities in in the site.
    • Operate the following “IS Security on the ground” topics arising in the site:
      • Administer Physical security access controls of local IS assets;
      • Support Security alerts, Responses and Reporting;
      • Support local security audits of IS standard services;
      • Inform to IS Security team where there are demands for local specific security measures, solutions and services.
  • As part of IT Project Management (during the construction phase of the verbund site):
    • Assist the IT Infrastructure Lead to plan and support the execution of the various IT Infrastructure Projects initiated.
    • Coordinate and support local implementations (and rollouts) of change requests and projects in the site.
    Requirements:
  • University Degree in Management Information System, Computer Science, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • 4+ years of information technology experience require
  • 2+ years delivering information services or delivering projects in a mid-/large-sized company
