The Department of Accounting is looking for a dynamic and capable individual to fill the position of Assistant Manager of MSc in Accounting Program. The appointee will be responsible for all aspects of administration and operation of the MSc in Accounting Program. Duties include but are not limited to supporting the Academic Director in course planning and class scheduling; coordinating with teaching faculty on course delivery; liaising with external and internal parties in classroom arrangement; providing administrative, on-site and off-site support to faculty members; preparing regular reports, accreditation documents and budget; supporting engagement activities with business leaders, external firms and professional organizations; being the student-interface to manage student matters; providing secretarial service to committees and meetings as well as maintaining proper documentation and coordinating follow-up actions; and performing daily office administration work and any other duties as assigned.
The appointee will also support the marketing/enrichment events and admission process of the Program. Duties include preparation of marketing collaterals; planning and execution of promotion campaigns; coordination of admission events; advising prospective candidates; and managing activities relating to student recruitment and admission process.
Applicants should have a bachelor's degree, preferably in business disciplines with at least 5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in program administration in the tertiary education sector. The ideal candidate should possess a proactive work attitude; self-motivated with a strong sense of responsibility; good organization and problem solving skills; excellent project planning and creative thinking; attention to details; and strong ability to manage multi-task and meet deadlines. He/She should be a good team player and also has the ability to work independently. The appointee should possess good interpersonal, communication, presentation and co-ordination skills. He/She should also possess good command of MS office and web-based applications. Proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is required. Working outside normal office hours and overseas travels are required/expected. (Duration: 2 years, renewable)
Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided. A gratuity will be payable upon successful completion of contract.
