Responsibilities

• Manage a HOKLAS accredited microbiology laboratory (food and environmental)
• Oversee the operation and development of the laboratory
• Develop and validate molecular methods using real-time PCR
• Participate in business development / marketing events for the laboratory
• Plan and source equipment and consumables related to the laboratory operation
• Train subordinates in microbiology testing
• Conduct experiments for projects to meet customer's requirements
• Provide technical supports for customer services

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Microbiology, Biotechnology, Biomedical Science, Biology or equivalent
• At least 5 years relevant experience in laboratory management and microbiology testing, preferably in commercial laboratory
• Familiar with ISO 17025 / HOKLAS
• Experience in real-time PCR / DNA-based methods for testing food samples
• Should be qualified as a HOKLAS approved signatory in microbiology testing
• Ability to troubleshoot and solve problems related to laboratory affairs
• Proficiency in English and Cantonese
• Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Microbiologist
