This position is responsible for conceiving, developing, implementing, supporting, and enhancing life, health, and wellness insurance schemes and products for the bancassurance distribution channels of BPI-Philam and its partners.

This position ensures the successful launch of competitive, profitable and sustainable products that address the savings needs of the specific market segments aimed to be tapped by BPI-Philam through its bancassurance channels.

  • Leads the end-to-end product development process, from conceptualization to launch;

  • Helps identify market opportunities and develop new products and propositions that address customer needs;

  • Develops the product design and value proposition through customer research, concept testing and competitive studies;

  • Prepares and presents product gating papers to establish alignment with the company’s strategic priorities, and to secure internal product approval;

  • Provides supporting documents for external approvals, including but not limited to, bank partners’ approval process, Insurance Commission, Bancassurance Working Committee, and Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas;

  • Prepares product and UX specifications in accordance with approved features for backroom installation, i.e. system development and process set-up;

  • Manages and ensures completion of product testing as may be required; monitor system installation in coordination with IT, Operations and relevant stakeholders;

  • Manages development of marketing collaterals e.g. sales illustrations, product brochures, training and presentation materials in collaboration with Customer Communications, Segments, and Partnership Academy teams to support product roll-out to sales teams and external clients;

  • Collaborates with all key stakeholders (Philam Life, AIA region, bank partners, reinsurers, investment houses, third-party vendors, segments and regulators) to enable successful product roll-out;

  • Monitors performance of launched products for the first 12 months, through report generation and analysis of product strategy, and ensures that set sales targets or persistency rates are attained through customer marketing and sustaining activities in collaboration with Customer Experience campaigns team;

  • Drives personal development through realization of Development Action Plan; and

  • Performs other tasks as may be required by the immediate supervisor.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any Business, Marketing or related fields

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the insurance industry. Basic insurance knowledge is a must

  • With strong product management and development experience, preferably gained from the insurance or financial services industry

  • Working knowledge on financial markets, securities and instruments is a must

  • Strong prioritization planning and project management skills, capable of leading cross-functional teams

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of analyzing and organizing data into insightful recommendations

  • Excellent communicator and presenter

  • Self-motivated, independent, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability
