ESTATES OFFICE
Being a member of the Project Management Section, the appointee will take up the role in managing and supervising construction projects and alteration/addition/improvement/ renovation works for the Estates Office.
Responsibilities:
- Co-ordinate the acquisition and installation of furniture, fittings and equipment;
- Liaise with end users, government bodies, consultants, contractors and suppliers;
- Prepare specifications, working drawings, tender documents and other project-control documents;
- Supervise and monitor the work of consultants/contractors so as to deliver the projects according to the required timelines and qualities;
- Prepare project programme, progress report and project correspondence; and
- Take part in drawing production in relation to the works will be an advantage.
Requirements:
- Possess a recognised degree in Architecture/Structural Engineering/Surveying/Building Studies or related disciplines with at least eight years of relevant experience, preferably in a recognised university or Government-funded tertiary institution/organization;
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English and Chinese, good organisational and problem solving skills, and proficiency in computer applications including AutoCAD; and
- Pleasant, service-orientated, responsible, self-motivated, able to work collaboratively, independently and under pressure.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to sit for a written test.
Initial appointment will be offered on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to mutual agreement and availability of funding.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
