Job Title: Assistant Manger
Report to: TIC Director
Position Description:
Responsible for managing the Trade & Investment Center (TIC) programs with Chinese industrial parks to support U.S. companies’ growth, building and maintaining relationships with Chinese government officials, as well as coordinating TIC significant events and ODI programs.
Key roles and responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the industry park series events, including organize business delegation per local government’s collaboration agreement
- Meet TIC revenue target generation through industry park promotion seminar, membership sales and sponsorship, especially focus on Chinese government organization, Chinese Industrial parks, and local companies
- Support growth in terms of users, profiled companies, sponsorships, content, fast answers, and industrial park sponsorship development
· Help to manage and coordinate communications with lead collaboration for TIC staffs
· Work closely with team members to further identify appropriate users, sponsors, develop and grow Chinese reflective site content, and have direct interaction on content improvement
- Work cross-functionally within the organization effectively spearheading ideas and collaboration working closely hand in hand with TIC team members , GR, C&P, Committees and interns
· Mentors interns on regular rotation and manages micro projects related to TIC, particularly for service expansion for China market users (industrial parks, SMEs, service providers)
- Respond to individual sponsor / subscriber needs particularly in local China market, handles subscriber and member company requests for information on China business
- Directly assists in creation of low cost, and effective design marketing collateral for TIC (brochure, flyers, and content), working in collaboration with TIC Staff and cross-functionally with BDM, Directors, GR Department, C&P and Committees
- Creates policy and procedures for governmental outreach, and positioning for TIC public relations and China community awareness. Executes on procedures for governmental outreach for TIC
- Identifies new business development and user and revenue growth sources
- Write or have oversight of short briefs and content blurb creation, working with TIC Director and staffs for weekly briefing content development
- Help track pipeline IP, member, subscriber, sponsor interested parties working in collaboration TIC director, TIC staffs and interns
- Coordinate TIC programs/initiatives assigned to the department, including SME conference, workshops, seminars and responsible recruit sponsors for events, speaking opportunity, logistics and business delegaiton
- Directly assist marketing and promotional efforts for TIC growth
- Procure and develop relevant business content for SMEs in a variety of industries in China
- Build and maintain relationships among associations, AmCham Members, US government and Chinese Government.
Qualifications:
- 8 years working experience in a related field with strong business development mind
- Understanding chamber operation and the business environment for foreign companies in China
- Good communication skills and ability to multitask; project management experience a plus
- Ability to interface with local Chinese government officials and senior executives
- Native Chinese with excellent written and oral English skills
- Bachelor’s degree. Master’s degree is a plus
