Novotel Sydney International Airport is a 271 room hotel, including a 150 seater a la carte and buffet restaurant, Bar & 11 Conference rooms. We are located along the Cooks River, near the International airport.
The hotel is currently housing crew quarantine business so the operation is a little different then what you may have done before. Although we are not having our usual level of face-to-face contact with our guests right now, we still pride ourselves on providing professional and heartfelt service at all times.
We are looking for the right person to join the team, someone who can move with the changing business and grow & develop with us, as the hotel welcomes back our corporate & leisure guests in the future.

The Role

As a Part Time Assistant Night Manager, your tasks and responsibilities will consist of, but are not limited to the following:
- Process and assist with check-in, check-out of guests, ensuring all procedures are adhered too.
- Lead by example when attending to guest requests. Be proactive and resourceful.
- Take initiative to ensure that interactions with our customers are positive and productive.
- Have the necessary skills and training to actively resolve complaints and challenges presented by customers.
- Provide guidance, support training and leadership to all employees.
- Monitor training and offer guidance to employees whilst on shift.
- Assist in all areas of the hotel during peak times to eliminate potential issues.
- Responsibility for the health and safety of all patrons, guests and staff members.
- Carry out Night Audit and End of Day Procedures
Your ability to ‘surprise’ our guests with your natural bright and bubbly customer service style is what sets you apart from the rest. You are naturally a confident person who is able to approach people and initiate conversation along with a strong knowledge of the hotel and its surrounding area.
You have experience in Opera, Microsoft Word and Outlook. First Aid Certificate and Responsible Service of Alcohol for the relevant state are required. You will be available to work varied shifts from early mornings to late evenings, including weekends and Public Holidays as per our business demands.
The successful candidate will have unlimited work rights in Australia and be flexible to work from 25 to 38 hours per week. You will have experience in a similar role or environment, preferably in hotels.
