Job Description

No35 at Sofitel Melbourne On Collins is an award winning restaurant with panoramic views of a beautiful city of Melbourne. 

We are looking for a dynamic Food & Beverage professional to join us to inspire, influence and lead our food & beverage team in a modern restaurant serving amazing food and creating memorable experiences for our guests. You make our colleagues feel valued and you naturally make everybody feel welcome.


MY KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Lead a diverse team while providing a luxury Sofitel experience for our guests
  • Deliver personalised service with passion and professionalism, constantly striving to maintain/exceed the Net Promoter Score
  • Assist with the promotion of marketing and advertising opportunities by liaising with other managers on menus, guest feedback and service
  • Assist in creating rosters, training plans and team activities
  • Maintain product knowledge of all menus and wine lists, cocktails and spirit and provide training opportunities to the teams through effective communication
  • Control costs and wages through optimized staff rostering and product ordering, preparation of budgets and forecasts, knowledge of the hotel cashiering system, inventory management
  • Establish standards, expectations and metrics to ensure the teams and operations perform at the highest level to target profitability for the business whilst maintaining high standards

MY SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:

  • Strong leadership skills developed in a similar operation with a customer centric mindset
  • A thorough knowledge of luxury hotels and the expectations of their guests
  • Hands on experience leading a team in a similar food and beverage environment
  • Maintain awareness of industry trends in service, product and presentation and has the aptitude for developing promotions and marketing strategies
  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate
  • Be observant with a perception for ones surroundings and able to resolve conflicts effectively
  • Demonstrate versatility in responding to guest requests and situations
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, weekends and public holidays
