Job Description

Requirements 

a)          A good Bachelor’s Degree or above in any discipline from a Hong Kong university or equivalent;

b)         Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese, including Putonghua (please refer to the Notes below);

c)          A minimum of 5 years of post-qualification hands-on working experience in comparable organisations;

d)         An organised, meticulous and flexible self-starter, with strong interpersonal skills and ability to multi-task by tight deadlines;

e)          Good analytical and communication skills with mature personality; ability to work independently and under pressure; and

f)           Good computer skills in Microsoft applications and Chinese word processing.

 

Notes:

English requirements:

(a)   Grade C or above in Use of English of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) OR

(b)   Grade C or above in English Language of the General Certificate of Education (GCE) Advanced Level OR

(c)    Level 5 or above in English Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) OR

(d)   An overall band of 6.5 or above with no subtest score below band 6 obtained in the same sitting in the Academic Module of the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) within the two-year validity period. And the IELTS test result must be valid on any date during the application period OR

(e)    Level 2 in the Use of English paper of the Common Recruitment Exam (CRE).

 

Chinese requirements:

(a)   Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Culture of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE) OR

(b)   Grade C or above in Chinese Language and Literature of the Hong Kong Advanced Level Examination (HKALE)OR

(c)    Level 5 or above in Chinese Language of the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE) OR

(d)   Level 2 in the Use of Chinese paper of the Common Recruitment Exam (CRE).

 

Expectations 

a)        Work experience preferably in public organisations, in particular in comparable set-up;

b)        Knowledge and experience in personal data privacy matters and/or cyber security landscape and/or information security management will be an advantage;

c)        Experience in computer graphics/infographics design and presentation is a plus.

 

Duties 

Assistant Personal Data Officers will be, on rotation basis, responsible for conducting public policy research assignments, keeping abreast of privacy trends and developments worldwide, performing assessment and audit in enterprise compliance projects, handling compliance checks and investigations, developing and organizing media events, conducting training courses/ talks, and designing promotion programmes, depending on the division/ section to which they are deployed.

 

Remuneration Package 

The successful candidate will be rewarded with commensurate remuneration package with monthly salary ranging from $31,685 to $53,195. He or she will be appointed on contract terms. The terms of appointment and conditions of service to be offered are subject to the provisions prevailing at the time of offer of appointment.        In addition to 5-day week, we provide 18 days annual leave, medical and dental benefits, contribution to MPF and 10% gratuity at the end of contract, subject to employment terms and conditions.
