We are now looking for an Assistant Process Engineer for UPM Raflatac. This position will be located in Changshu, China.

UPM Raflatac is labeling a smarter future by developing innovative and sustainable labeling solutions complemented with world-class service. As one of the world’s leading producers of self-adhesive label materials, we supply high-quality paper and film label stock for consumer product and industrial labeling through a global network of factories, distribution terminals and sales offices. We employ around 3,000 people and made sales of EUR 1.5 billion (USD 1.9 billion) in 2017. UPM Raflatac is part of UPM – The Biofore Company.

What you will do

• Optimize, develop and improve coating process and products quality
• Conduct process capability studies, design experiments, and analyze to ensure products meet requirements
• Work with suppliers to continuously improve raw material quality
• Participate in cost reduction, efficiency improvement
• Assist maintenance and keep machine in good shape
• Create process documentation in accordance with ISO requirements
• Backup daily all files and recorders on the file servers
• Use the lean way to coaching leaders and operators about new processes and equipment

Who you are

• You have bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• You have at least 2 years’ related working experience
• You are professional in continual improvement methodologies
• You are fluent in both English and Chinese
