FINANCE OFFICE

The appointee is expected to assist the Purchasing Manager in supervising a small team of staff to perform a wide variety of tasks, including procurement services, processing of purchase requisitions, tendering exercises and professional advice to various user departments. The appointee will also be responsible for monitoring the canteens operation and the University-wide insurance matters such as policies renewal, appointment of insurance broker, processing insurance claims and handling enquiries.

Applicants should have a relevant Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, insurance management or relevant disciplines with at least five years of relevant work experience, of which three years should be at supervisory level. Membership of relevant professional body (e.g. The Institute of Purchasing & Supply of Hong Kong or equivalent) and experience in Oracle system are essential.

The applicant should possess a strong analytical mind, good communication and interpersonal skills, willingness to accept new challenges, be computer literate and a self-starter. Work experience in non-governmental organizations will definitely be an advantage. A good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and/or Putonghua) is required. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend a written test.

Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract of two years. Re-appointment thereafter will be subject to review and mutual agreement.

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
