Applicants should have (i) a good honours degree and a highly effective command of the English and Chinese languages, preferably with fluency in Putonghua; (ii) at least twelve years (for Assistant Secretary) / seven years (for Administrative Officer) of administrative experience, preferably in human resources management in tertiary education sector; (iii) strong analytical and problem-solving ability; (iv) an open and innovative mind; and (v) well-honed interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to liaise and communicate effectively. Previous experience in handling human resources matters in the Chinese Mainland, preferably in Shenzhen, will be an asset.
The appointee will join a well-established human resources management team in the University, and will attend to one or more of the major human resources management functions, including development of policy, appointments, appraisal and review, benefits administration, management and development of personnel systems, staff relations, and other ad hoc projects, as well as support for committee work.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to two years, renewable subject to mutual agreement. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a written test.
