Job Description

The Department
TheSecurity Integrity Department is at the center of our core values in ensuring Integrity is preserved. Our work in Security, Integrity, Anti-Money Laundering, and Anti-Illegal Betting contributes to the Clubs management of financial crime and corruption risks. We strive to maintain a secure environment to ensure the smooth operation of the Clubs business, and uphold honesty and fairness to help to protect horse racing in Hong Kong.
The Job
You will:
Assist the Security Operations Support Manager in managing the security team including rostering, deployment, supervision of Security Officers
Carry out security operations duties during race meetings and/or other events organized by the Club as and when required
Ensure the horse movement pre-departure security checks carried out in Hong Kong will comply with the applicable Standard Operating Procedures, guidelines and plans
Provide horse movement pre-departure security checks training to all newly joined contracted security personnel and refresher training to the existing staff to ensure they are conversant with any changes in the processes and procedures
Carry out studies and work out solutions for traffic related issues at both Sha Tin Happy Valley racecourses
Manage traffic control at both racecourses by directing contracted security personnel to regulate the vehicular flow to ensure smooth traffic during the arrival and departure phases of the race meetings
Respond to incidents and provide relevant information to the Security Control Centre to enable an accurate incident report to be produced
Provide applicable recommendations to strive for constant improvement
Review regularly the established processes and procedures to cater for any changes in the evolving operation environment
Review regularly the traffic management issues during race meetings at both racecourses and provide traffic improvement initiatives/recommendation
Perform other related duties as required
About You
You should have:
Tertiary education level preferred
At least 7 years relevant working experience or 5 years security experience of which at least 5 years at supervisory level.
Ability to handle different type of security incidents in accordance with established procedures.
A good working knowledge and understanding of physical security and modern security technology.
Possess basic legal knowledge and is familiar with security related legislations and operational regulations.
Good written and verbal communication skills for the liaison with both internal and external agencies.
Fluency in both written and spoken English, and Cantonese. Reading and writing Chinese is a must.
Proficient computer literacy of Microsoft Office applications.
Holder of valid Security Personal Permit.
The availability to work on day and night shifts including Sundays and holidays.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.A contract employment will be offered to the successful candidate. Contract renewal will be subject to mutual agreement between the Club and the individual.
