Job Description
Founded in 1884, The Hong Kong Jockey Club is a world-class racing club that acts continuously for the betterment of our society. The Club has a unique integrated business model, comprising racing and racecourse entertainment, a membership club, responsible sports wagering and lottery, and charities and community contribution. The Department
The Security Integrity Department is at the center of our core values in ensuring Integrity is preserved. Our work in Security, Integrity, Anti-Money Laundering, and Anti-Illegal Betting contributes to the Clubs management of financial crime and corruption risks. We strive to maintain a secure environment to ensure the smooth operation of the Clubs business, and uphold honesty and fairness to help to protect horse racing in Hong Kong.
The Job
You will:
Assist Security Operations Support Manager (SOSM) to manage the day-to-day security operations for the purpose of protecting the Clubs assets and related stakeholders.
Support on planning and executing security safety arrangements and measures of planned events of the club.
Work with subordinates to review existing Security Operations SOPs, processes and procedures, and enhancing the same as and when required.
Respond to any major security incident and updating senior management of the development as required;
Review and follow up on incidents that require preliminary investigation before passing them to the applicable Integrity Section for further investigation if required.
Carry out duty to ensure the safety and security of race-goers, members and staff at Happy Valley and Sha Tin Racecourses during race meetings through involvement in the risk management process, and ensuring the applicable crowd management measures together with the Police and public transport operators are executed as planned.
Work with Security Systems team to ensure all security systems and equipment functioning properly at all times and assessing irregularly if any operational improvement is required.
Be helping in building professional relationships and networks with the HK Police and other applicable government departments in order to facilitate a good platform for cooperation as well as the exchange of information.
About You
You should:
A university degree or above in security management is preferred or applicable industry certification or qualification (e.g. CPP Certified Protection Professional, ASIS International).
A minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a police, law enforcement / military or equivalent security environment, or with at least 2 years in a managerial position in the Security Industry.
Good working knowledge and understanding of modern security technology and operations.
Experience in physical security operations, security assessment and/or crowd management planning for major public events or seminars.
Fluent in both written and spoken English and Cantonese, and proficiency in Mandarin, reading and writing Chinese is preferred.
Terms of Employment
The level of appointment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
