Assistant Student Affairs Manager (Project) (Ref.: 20000IH)
Major Duties and Responsibilities
The appointee shall mainly be responsible for the following:
- Understanding of student needs and drive for continuous improvement of his/her focal work area;
- Assisting in planning and developing student services and activities for Mainland and non-local students and leading a team of enthusiastic students to provide services to other students;
- Managing the admission, operation and student life of off-campus accommodation and supervising a team of senior-year student resident tutors to support the above tasks (remarks: this is a non-residential post);
- Supporting students to achieve academic success by conducting and organizing various learning enhancement activities and providing coaching and consultation to individual students;
- Providing coaching and guidance for subordinates and student leaders/helpers fostering staff/student development;
- Sharing executive duties including general administration, support to system management, data analysis and management, event management; and
- Engaging in office wide initiatives and events to maximize synergy.
- The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and travel outside Hong Kong.
Requirements
Applicants are expected to possess the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
- A recognized degree with at least 2 years’ relevant post-qualification working experience, preferably gained in tertiary institutions;
- Competencies in both student development and executive work;
- Good communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, attention to details and the ability to work independently;
- Be proficient in written and spoken English and Chinese (fluency in Putonghua is a must);
- Good computer and data analytic skills;
- Ability to manage and synergize a diverse portfolio of projects is one of the critical success factors; and
- Experience in related services and/or developmental programmes for students will be a definite advantage.
Compensation Package
Competitive compensation package including basic salary, end-of-contract gratuity and discretionary incentive (if any) will be offered to the right candidate.Fringe benefits such as generous annual leave, staff learning and development sponsorship, medical & dental benefits and life insurance coverage will also be provided.
