The Materials Characterization and Preparation Facility (MCPF) is searching for two candidates with experience in the following areas: 

1. Materials atomic structure and surface structure characterization by Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM)

2. Materials property characterization under high magnetic fields and cryogenic temperatures

The appointees will provide support in general operation and maintenance of TEM and cryogenic related instruments in MCPF, and provide instrument training and application service to internal and external users.

Applicants should have an associate degree or a bachelor’s degree in physics, materials or a related field of science and engineering. A fair command of both spoken and written English and Chinese (including Putonghua) is essential.  Applicants should have a strong sense of responsibility and be able to work independently. Experience in Electron Microscopy, materials characterization under high magnetic field and cryogenic temperatures or research is not mandatory but will be an advantage. Fresh graduate of associate/bachelor's degree is also welcome to apply. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)

Starting salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. Fringe benefits including annual leave, medical and dental benefits will be provided.
