The Division of Environment and Sustainability is looking for an Assistant Technical Officer who will support the teaching as well as the research activities in the atmospheric chemistry field. In particular, the appointee will provide the day-to-day laboratory management, technical support in the VOC Laboratory and handle sensitive equipment to analyse samples or substances.

Applicants should have at least a bachelor's degree in atmospheric/environmental chemistry, analytic chemistry, or relevant subject with a minimum of 2 years of relevant working/proven laboratory experience. Experience and knowledge on ambient air sampling and instrumental analysis (e.g. GC-MS) is definitely an advantage. Candidates should have proven proficiency in spoken and written English. The capability to speak Cantonese/Putonghua and write in Chinese is an additional advantage. (Duration: 1 year, renewable)
