Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assisting the Director of Institut Culinaire for the following:
• Supporting the Master teacher on his needs in order to teach in the most efficient conditions.
• Manage all kitchen operations including classes operations, food storage, with an emphasis on maintaining the highest Disciples Escoffier hygienic standards and practices. to achieve the optimum level of teaching.
• Assumes responsibility for the security of food and supplies.
• Assigns, directs, plans and supervising the work of kitchen students.
• Supervises and instructs in the safe, proper and efficient use of all kitchen equipment,

Directs sanitation procedures.

• Inspects the kitchen, cooking and mixing utensils, and teacher and students for cleanliness and sanitary purpose.
• Supervise courses, establish the technical specification.
• Evaluates the performance of students.
• Create curriculum course content, course materials, and methods of instruction.
• Participate in student recruitment & exams activities.
• Setting up ceremony awards.
• Perform other duties assigned by Master teacher

Requirements:

• Local chef with 8 years’ experience in 5-star hotel or Michelin starred restaurant, French cuisine highly preferred.
• Excellent in both spoken and written Cantonese and English;
• Willing to teach and share with students
• Self-motivated.
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
• Highly organized and punctual
• Customer focused approach
• High degree of flexibility
