We are currently sourcing an Operations Associate Director who will be responsible for the strategy, planning, and process improvements of all aspects of planning, operations, packaging, personnel within the Manufacturing Department to ensure that cost, compliance – FDA, HPRA, EPA, Safety, and customer requirements are met. In this role, you will also provide support to the Business Unit Lead in achieving the overall business goals and objectives for the site. This is a temporary contract/development assignment to join the Operations team. Does this interest you? If so, read on....... In this role, you will: • Establish and develop strategic relationships and driving collaboration with key stakeholders. • Encourage and reward improvement ideas and results via formal and informal mechanism while engaging hearts through a compelling story about your long-term vision and goals • Lead the strategic development of critical operational delivery areas to support the Biologics BU in achieving strategic goals, functional targets and business objectives. • Agree with the Business Unit Lead and to develop and deliver a business plan providing appropriate timely information as required. • Assess and develop regulatory change plans and the impact they may have on operational activities • Develop Business plans for New Product Introduction • Develop Long Range Plan for BU in conjunction with BU Lead • Establish appropriate KPI’s and manage non-conforming KPI’s • Develop strategy for OPEX standards within the Biologics Business Unit • Ensure all activities of Operations are performed in accordance with OPEX, and Process Confirmation where appropriate • Provide leadership at the tiered OPEX meetings to ensure focus and traction is maintained on the key objectives • Organize and lead, as appropriate, cross-functional and departmental plans and programs to improve the overall efficiencies and effectiveness of the manufacturing department • Lead organizational Root Cause Problem Solving (RCPS) and support technical and other RCPS sessions, this includes ownership of all operational Root Cause Problem Solving • Establish and organise all relevant BU meetings and forums. • Develop and implement strategy for capacity and ensure schedules adherence. • Attend all meetings as required or arrange an appropriate deputy e.g. Business Unit Meetings, ANDON Board, OPEX, Financial, EHS and QA. Qualifications So, what education & experience do you need to succeed? • You will have a Bachelor’s Degree in a pharmaceutical science/ engineering / operations discipline with proven track record in managing people and in business management. • Proven track record in Pharma/Medical Devices/Food Operations Supervision and working collaboratively in cross-functional teams • Clear understanding of working within a regulated environment and knowledge of aseptic processing • Proven track record in Lean 6 Sigma Projects – Yellow/Green Belt Certified • Identification of Root Causes and development of CAPA to address root causes So, are you ready now to be part of this ambitious Operations team?
