Analyst for Discoverant

The main responsibilities of the role are to:

• Support development activities by helping in code build and deployment, tool configuration management and administration, application environment set up, change and release management
• Monitor production system to ensure it is operating in a manner consistent with Service Level Agreements (SLA’s)
• Provide 2nd/ 3rd line support (technical queries, bug fixes and small enhancements relating to application and platform), complying with Astra Zeneca standards, change control procedures
• Take ownership of issues through to delivery or issue resolution or escalation, as appropriate
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups
• Develop specialist knowledge in relevant systems, documenting and sharing that knowledge, as required, with global teams
• Liaise with multiple stakeholders including users, infrastructure/middleware teams, 3rd party software vendors for resolving issues and potential process improvements
• Train, guide and mentor new hires in the team

Essential Experience: (Must have skills)

• 1-3 years of prior development experience in Oracle SQL and PLSQL.
• Should have worked on complex SQL queries.
• Hands on Knowledge in SQL Server.
• Hands on experience in HTML and Style Sheet Creation (CSS).
• Strong Development and troubleshooting experience with Oracle, SQL Server or any other RDBMS.
• Basic knowledge of any ETL tool.
• Understanding of incident, problem, change and release management process
• Experienced on IT Service management tools like Service Now, Remedy or Service Manager.
• Experience working with third-party vendor applications.
• Demonstrated ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups.

Supplementary Experience: (Useful additional skills)

• Familiarity with life sciences(Pharma) domain concepts, workflow and terminology
• Experience on Informatica is an added advantage
• Experience working with GIT, SQL Developer.
• Understanding of FDA regulations like GxP and 21 CFR Part 11
• Must participate on call rotation with off hours support responsibilities
• Experience working in DevOps methodologies.

Educational Qualifications

UG - B.Tech /B.E. or other equivalent technical qualifications
