In this function you will: Manages the accurate and efficient processing of transactions in the Eaton accounting system. This process includes, investigating and reconciling, liase with sales team to correct pricing and customer discrepancies. Responsible for customer account creation and maintenance. This includes gathering documentation for new accounts and coordinating with master data team and credit team to verify customer credit history. Liaise with sales team to process retail rebates and seek appropriate approvals. Verify, analyze, and review transactions. Assist business partners in investigating customer questions/issues related to pricing agreement claims in a timely and professional manner. Responsible for setting up GST/PST customer registrations and exemptions in Tax system; also review and correct sales tax errors on invoices. Process credit card payments and prepare account reconciliations Proactively identify opportunities to continuously improve processes to maintain high standards of efficiencies. Implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Eaton Financial policies, GAAP, local regulations, and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) requirements and participate as required in the SOX validation process. This includes responsibility of all internal and external financial auditing requests, schedules and reporting requirements. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of federal/provincial laws and regulations regarding taxes Understanding of foreign exchange transaction and translation reporting Position Success Criteria: Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Pursuing or in possession of professional designation (CPA, CMA, CGA, CA) Ability to speak a second language (French preferred) We provide benefits that are industry competitive and focused on employee well-being.
