A - Process Requirements 1. Identify, leads and drive strategic sourcing projects across relevant business area. 2. RFI / RFQ Management – Request RFI or RFQ’s from suppliers, and in-depth analysis of RFQ’s, followup with suppliers, preparation of sourcing work books and recommendation to commodity managers on the preferred sourcing solutions. 3. Evaluate and execute competitive bid events - Conduct due diligence on suppliers, connect with suppliers for requirements, initiate discussions between suppliers and category teams. 4. Facilitate end to end project closures and report savings opportunities identified (WIP and executed). Evaluate supplier bids and provide supplier selection & award recommendation to the category teams. 5. Drive weekly / monthly calls with category teams for project status and updates. 6. Conduct user training for SCM team members, buyers, commodity managers, suppliers participating in the bidding 7. Negotiation – Co-facilitate/ work with CM on the first level of negotiations with suppliers based on the outcome of the RFQ. 8. Report Management – Generates and analyzes different reports for specific managed categories B. Technical Competencies & Service Delivery Requirements - 1. 3 - 5 years of working experience in supply chain / manufacturing industries will be required along with understanding of strategic sourcing is must. 2. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) for analytics and presentation 3. Good exposure to data analytics (Advanced Excel functionalities), process automations, macros, etc. Power BI will be an added advantage. 4. Good communication skills to work with teams remotely, close coordination with cross-functional operations team to ensure closure 5. Flexible attitude to work with the willingness to learn new skills when required Qualifications Qualifications - a. 3 - 5 years in Supply Chain Management preferably in Direct Sourcing with categories like Bearings, Fasteners, Metals, Stampings, Castings etc - Experience in handling direct sourcing & procurement processes b. Must be able to select suppliers based on Total Cost of Ownership c. Working knowledge of Contract Management, tooling, quality, specs reading d. Project Management skills and experience can be added advantage e. Understands supply chain nuances & commodity strategies f.
