Position Summary:

 

Bentley Systems is looking to hire a junior/Associate level Cloud Engineer to join our Global Cloud Operations Team. Using our industry leading ProjectWise software on Cloud hosted infrastructure, Bentley hosts many of the World’s largest infrastructure projects. With more than 3,400 server and growing daily, this is a fast passed and rapidly growing team.

 

Location: Open to all East Coast Australian Offices (Sydney Office preferred).

 

Your Day-to-Day:

 

• Responsibilities include performing system related activities such as configuring and troubleshooting the software; and staying current with upgrades, updates and patches.
• Administrative tasks including the maintenance of datasources, standards and work processes along with developing procedures that allow designers to work as a team.
• Interfacing with multiple design companies and/or departments.
• Troubleshooting systems related to ProjectWise such as databases, webservers and networks.
• Monitor Application and system capacity and performance along with monitoring service ticket support queues.
• Work with PowerShell to automate tasks.
• Be able to define and convey customization requirements to meet specific business requirements.
• Work with IT and development teams to drive DevOps-based process improvement.
• The nature of this role means that some out-of-hours work will be required.

 

What You Bring To The Team:

 

• Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) best practices are utilized.
• Develop and execute PowerShell scripts on hosted production systems.
• Capability to rapidly learn our ProjectWise software.
• Understanding of Windows Server operating in a virtualized environment.
• A thorough familiarity with relational databases, including administration, operation and maintenance with Oracle and/or Microsoft SQL Server.
• Solid technical troubleshooting skills.
• A thorough understanding of networking, including TCP/IP and Windows Active Directory.
• A thorough understanding of web technologies including Microsoft IIS and Microsoft SharePoint.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required.
• Ability to work tasks/assignments through a help system ticketing system.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and telephone skills, organizational, planning skills and willing to talk to our valued users.
• Should be able to obtain problem resolution in a timely manner. 
• Identify recurring issues and drive automated resolution behind them.
• Demonstrable knowledge of scripts in some administrative language (PowerShell**).

 

Desired Skills:

 

• Knowledge of ITIL processes, ISO 270001 or SOC2 experience.
• Experience with public clouds (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services).
• Perform complex configuration, change management and testing activities to support a service-oriented architecture and integration between all applications.
• Document Standard Operating Procedures for troubleshooting.
