Job Description
Z-Ben Advisors is a Shanghai-based research and strategic consulting firm, focusing on China’s investment management industry. We are currently accepting applications for the position of Associate, Consulting.

The associate will work closely with senior consultants to interact with clients, understand their needs, and provide solutions in the form of high-quality deliverables with relevant analysis and recommendations. Prior knowledge of and experience in China’s investment management industry is a plus, but not a requirement for this position. More importantly, the associate must be able to work creatively and independently, with general guidance from senior consultants, to develop polished reports and presentations for the client. As a member of the Consulting team, the associate will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of consulting projects, which include M&A advisory, strategic planning for both foreign and local Chinese asset managers, and market monitoring / benchmarking analysis of clients and the industry.

Key responsibilities

 Work creatively and independently to develop high-quality deliverables, under the guidance of senior consultants
 Research and analyze important industry, capital market and regulatory trends to develop oneself as an expert in the Chinese investment management industry
 Create and implement Z-Ben Advisors’ quantitative, qualitative, and consulting methodologies
 Develop highly analytical modules of projects and support project management and quality control efforts
 Identify and pursue business development opportunities with senior management

Requirements

 BA/BS with outstanding academic credentials
 Professional fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English
 Ability to develop multiple projects independently from concept to finish while working on tight deadlines
 Background or a strong interest in investment management, finance, or economics
 Working towards CFA / other industry accreditation is a plus
 Strong writing and communication skills
 Leadership experience (formal or informal)
 Ability to work independently as well as in teams
