ABOUT THE ROLE
Automation simplifies the ways of working and innovation brings success to business. It’s an opportunity to have people with fusion and the role facilitates working with different work streams within Enterprise Technology Services, understand the business operations and find solutions to automate and execute with standard Automation Tools and Programming language.
Establishing enterprise-wide policies and best practices, the automation lead is also an internal advocate for automation within IT Operations. Well experience in IT infrastructure, End user technologies, architectural skills, and a deep understanding of the tools and software that drive enterprise automation. Must have lead a team of Automation tools and leverage its potential to migrate existing business operation model to align with Industry 4.0 methodology. Able to leverage an automation solution that consolidates and coordinates even the largest IT operations.
Typical Accountabilities
- Provide infrastructure services vision & strategy, enable innovation and seek to leverage IT trends that can create business value consistent with the company’s digital vision and expectations.
- Build, cultivate and effectively motivate a capable team as part of this strategy and help define the methodology, framework and governance models, including demand intake, prioritization goals and metrics, related to automation.
- Effectively engage senior partners both in and outside of the information technology organization.
- Effectively lead the automation budget ensuring timely delivery and accurate forecasts.
- Develop and review Automation goals as part of IT roadmap. Establish quantifiable KPIs to illustrate progress, success, and ROI.
- Understand DevOps process and Agile development cycle with Continuous Integration / Delivery (CI/CD). Experience with CI/CD platforms is a plus.
- Able to lead the team on Continuous integration, Automation and Configuration. Develop automation orchestration by compare/analysis tools with business requirement
- Have a deep and strong knowledge of scripting and programming in any scripting language (Python, Perl, Shell + AWK, TCL, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, Terraform
- Understand cloud technologies and infrastructure virtualization (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, NFV, SDN)
- Help increase developer efficiency and lead times by implementing a CI/CD(Continuous Integration, Continuous Deployment) system such as Jenkins,GIT, CodeDeploy, or similar.
- Expertise in Infrastructure Technology Lifecycles including versioning for variety of technologies used by the organization.
- Have a good understanding of networking (switching, dynamic routing protocols, static and rule-based routing, etc.) and communication protocols (REST, SNMP, SOAP, etc.).
- Experience in IT Infrastructure service management (Wintel/Storage/Middleware/Backup/IAM) and should have managed any 1 or 2 operational deliverable on these domains.
- Experience on API integration with monitoring tools, Predictive analysis and selfheal Application
- Able to define and articulate big-picture goals and achievements while maintaining good attention to detail to both technical and non-technical audiences
ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED
- Master's degree with 14-18 years of experience in Automation and orchestration tools supporting large enterprise IT Infrastructure
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable experience in building and leading team of Devops and cloud engineering teams
- Cloud Management Platform experience, preferably multi hybrid cloud.
- Timeline, achievement planning and project management experience
- Working effectively and cross functionally across the organization; earning trust and establishing relationships throughout
- Outstanding communication skills; presentation, written, verbal, listening.
- Lean & Six Sigma Skills
- Good great teammate with the ability to organize, prioritize, and manage internal and external responsibilities simultaneously
DESIRABLE SKILLS
- ITIL training / service management accreditation
- Expert skills and at least 4 years demonstrated experience in developing automation scripts
- Transform and streamline IT management with automated and AI-driven solutions.
- System Center Orchestrator developing runbooks for disconnected processing
