Support the Chief Product Actuary to provide actuarial expertise and advice to management on business plan and initiatives to achieve the company and department performance objectives. Lead the team on pricing and development of Individual and Group products. Support the Chief Actuary and Chief Product Actuary in formulating review and recommendation on issues related to Propel Finance product strategies and impact on product development and pricing under new regulatory regimes including IFRS17 and HK RBCRoles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the team on the Individual and Group product / campaign pricing and implementation process including reinsurance arrangement if applicable and other duties/special projects related to product development
- Lead the team to co-ordinate and prepare management information on Propel Finance product related workstreams and initiatives. Support on product / campaign development for Propel Finance target
- Represent actuarial pricing team in IFRS17 and HK RBC development meetings and discussions. Co-ordinate and lead the implementation of the new regulatory regimes to the BAU work of pricing team
- Represent actuarial in discussions and meetings with management, product and marketing, sales channels to provide support and advice on product issues
- Represent actuarial in committees and special projects to provide actuarial view and input on various business issues
- Reviews experience studies/reports and propose best estimate assumptions timely. Reports if any adverse trend and abnormality is observed
- Review and/or approve and provide guidance to subordinates on special quotation
- Supports Chief Actuary and Product Actuary in co-ordination of task assignment and resources for the team
- Drive new pricing strategy based on new Propel initiatives
- Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by Chief Actuary in order to meet business or other requirement
- Ensure team members who perform regulated activities have obtained the relevant licenses and fulfilled the licensing requirements
Minimum Job Requirements:
- University / College graduate plus at least 10 years of relevant experience
- Attain Actuarial Fellowship
- Knowledge in insurance products and various financial reporting bases
- Knowledge in fund management and pricing strategy will be an advantage
- Proficiency in MS Office (e.g. VBA), Actuarial Software
- Proficient command of spoken and written English and Chinese
- Excellent project management skill and staff management skill
- You are required to obtain relevant license(s) if your job involves in regulated activities
