Job Description
Play a key role in projects, as a lead Design Director or deputy.
Lead project design and execution, and give design directions to the project teams, control design quality. Serve as a technical design expert to the project, generally work through staff to develop and execute design.
Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard architecture techniques, procedures, and criteria, use judgment in making adaptations and modifications on projects.
Develop innovative solutions to problems.
Lead projects that are medium in size: responsible for financial management of the project, ensure key deadlines are met and that the project stays on schedule and staff are working together effectively.
Develop and maintain clients, manage the presentation, and report development from clients. Play a key role in client management and keep positive client feedback and satisfaction.
Collaborate and co-work with other team or internal partners via excellent communication skill.
Mentor young designers. Work, inspire and manage a diverse team of design professionals from around the world focusing on strong communication and team leadership abilities. May work with team leaders on recruit, manage and retain key talents.
Proactively engage in team building and coach young professional development.
Be able to attract and recruit talent designers.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above in Architecture or related majors.
At least 15 years’ working experience in conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction design for the projects like mix-used, residential, commercial offices, retail, hospitality and public buildings, proven experience in medium to large scale projects is highly preferred.
With most recent experience in Design Director/Associate Director role. Project experience will show design and delivery management of large schemes, with successful track record of project completion in China.
Have a strong design capability and clear understanding of design and implementing a design ethos.
Superb conceptual, design talent, and communication abilities or has a proven construction experience of medium and large-scale projects.
Proficient in design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, PKPM, Photoshop, InDesign, etc. and management software such as Microsoft Office and Project, Bluebeam, Acrobat, etc.
Proven leadership, team building and mentor skills.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build and maintain good working relationships with internal teams and external clients.
