Job Description

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

The primary responsibilities of this role, Associate Director Digital Data Specialist, are to: 

 

  • Assist with digital data ingestion, data prep, QC and automation efforts across marketing vendors, channels and sources;
  • Assist with creating, operationalizing, maintaining, and optimizing data ingestion processes;
  • Collaborate and build working relationships with cross functional teams including IT, Analytics, Digital, and Brand teams;
  • Support the develop and document business requirements for analytics and reporting needs;
  • Support Franchises’ insight leads in developing overarching digital data strategy for Franchises’ to enable them to address key business questions and direct associated analytics and reporting;
  • Identify IT, data governance, data management and data QC gaps and required changes needed to meet business objectives;
  • Participate launch readiness data assessment and ongoing reassessment based on changing business needs;
  • Support Franchises’ in locating and effectively using data sources required to meet objectives;
  • Partner with Insight Teams to perform their required analytics by assisting them with their data access, data structure, data QC and business rule needs;
  • Communication of data management and reporting updates;
  • Organize / facilitate data and reporting tool training;
  • Support Franchises to develop appropriate KPI’s to measure their business;
  • Support documenting, processing and implementing relevant business KPIs Data Quality;
  • Profile, monitor and report on data quality and execute data quality corrective action;
  • Assist with the Develop/Implement reporting rules and processes;
  • Support Visualization and Reporting Specialist to implement relevant KPI reporting;
  • Support budget development regarding data sources;
  • Identify overlaps in data sources to ensure overall efficiency;
  • Work with business and insights teams to identify business use cases for Data Acquisition;
  • Collaborate with Data Acquisition to identify new, innovative data sources and opportunities;
  • Work with Data Acquisition to complete the onboarding of data sources;
  • Become fluent with Franchise data as a foundation for reports and analytics;
  • Assist in identifying potential new reports / analytics and end user requirements;
  • Execute proof of concept mini initiatives, in close collaboration with the analytics team as appropriate;
  • Participate in formulating Franchise data strategy;
  • Assist with providing guidelines and principles for consistent and compliant data interactions across systems/functions;
  • Leverage knowledge of internal data capabilities and external data landscape to ensure nimble commercial decision-making for launches and established products;
  • Assist with translating business objectives into data needs;
  • Monitor data quality and reinforce accountability of internal partners and external providers.

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least five years of overall experience;
  • Experience working within the U.S. Pharma industry, developing centralized data strategies;
  • Experience operating in an API-based data exchange environment related to media data;
  • Experience and Understanding of marketing data, especially digital tactics (SEM, Display, Online Video, FEP, Email, Social etc.);
  • Working knowledge of Google Big Query, Search Ads 360, Campaign Manager, DV360, GA360;
  • Stay up to date with digital technology and online learning developments;
  • Understand digital marketing communications and cross-channel activities including paid and earned search, Pay Per Click (PPC), Search Engine Optimization (SEO)/Search Engine Marketing (SEM), advertising campaigns and online promotions;
  • Experience with data visualization tools, programming, and strong SQL capabilities and translate the logic in plain English to nontechnical people;
  • Experience with web analytics data (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics), Digital Marketing Platforms (DMP), AWS and Snowflake;
  • Ability to quickly build relationships and operate in teams;
  • Strong problem-solving skills, actively participating in brainstorming, identifying core issues and structuring problems;
  • Ability to consolidate disparate business requirements into clear, concise documentation;
  • Knowledge of cloud based, big data technologies;
  • Good understanding of data warehouse, data architecture and data modeling concept;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, able to communicate with team on data challenges, issues and able to work with offshore team to educate them;
  • Able to communicate effectively with developers, data management and business teams;
  • Able to work independently and figure out the data model;
  • Strong analytical skills to troubleshoot issues and to determine data caveats and uses.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • M.B.A or Master’s degree.
