Roles and Responsibilities:

Functional Duties

• Provide strategic solution designs and architectures at enterprise level for Business and IT
• Lead the technology innovation strategy for AIA HK. Build the innovation lab for AIA HK. Engage technology partners and setup cocreation session between technology partners, IT and business
• Lead the Technology, Digital & Analytics (TDA) transformation from technology innovation perspective to excel at Ascend 200
• Map industry trends to the technical foundation, understand and translate business requirement, and orchestrate resources to make that vision a reality
• Envision and design the TDA solution architecture to connect the dot and promote the reuse at the enterprise level
• Steer the TDA technology and solutions for Business and IT including but not limited to involvement in projects and regular tech-talk sharing sessions
• Guide the project and BAU teams to provide high quality TDA solution design & architecture artifacts for endorsement from Architecture Review Board (ARB)
• Manage the communication and resolve the issue in TDA projects with IT functional departments incl. EA, Process & Control, IT infrastructure & Tech Risk
• Ensure all AIA HK TDA project deliverables are maintained in compliance with AIA Group Security and other standards
• Design a best-in-class solution to support the TDA KPIs such as App Store Rating and AI adoption to drive more sales and enhance customer experience
• Introduction of technology innovation for data, analytics, AI and externally facing technology, i.e.  Websites, mobile, chatbot, exposed APIs, etc.
• Timely delivery of quality system solutions
• Stable and secure processing environment to support business
• Maintain system stability to meet benchmark of 99.5% system availability
• Technology advancement and application to support business

People Management Duties

• Provide mentorship and trainings to digital solution architects and other related technical stakeholders for achieving the architecture design objectives
• Lead and develop a strong Digital Solution Architecture team and direct all activities to achieve architecture goals and company directives
• Evaluate performance and plan development for digital solution architect staff members
• Make recommendation on hiring, promotion, and discipline for digital solution architect staff members
• Ensure effective succession plan is implemented to review, identify, train and develop potential successors

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education & Experience

• University graduate with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in solution architecture, and 5 years of IT management experience
• Consulting background and Fintech/Insurtech start-up / all-rounded experience preferred, with enterprise exposure
• Proven experience as Solution Architect / Strategist / Technical Leader to lead large Digital Transformation with emerging technology like AI, Big Data and Cloud
• IT certification incl. but not limited to TOGAF, Microsoft Azure, Google GCP, Coursera, AI/ML
• Sound problem solving and decision-making ability
• Proven ability to identify innovation opportunities, define and deliver innovation business function
• Sound technical knowledge in IT aspects
• Excellent communication, coaching and consultative skills
• Strong team and people management skill
• Strong leadership and influential skill
• Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize, meet deadlines, and manage changing priorities
• Critical and creative thinker, team player, strong analytical skill, strong consultative skill, and problem-solving skills
• Able to work in fast paced and challenging environments
• Excellent English oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency in Mandarin speaking is preferred
