Position Objective:

Roles and Responsibilities:

Administration of Investment Portfolios

• Secretary to the Shareholder’s Resource Committee including all preparation for ALCO and IC requirements and meeting agenda
• Responsible to the Shareholder’s Resource Committee for IGF compliance related communication
• Proactively manage investment analytics required by the Head of Ratings and Shareholder Resources Strategy in the preparation of Shareholder Resources Committee and Group Asset Committee materials and communications

Full Compliance with Investment Governance Framework

• Design and Manage the process which ensures full compliance with the Investment Governance Framework (IGF) as applied to the GCC and AIA Re investments portfolios
• Establish and manage the framework for specific IGF requirements and investment operational tasks which are handled by the Liquidity Solutions (Group Treasury) team in Malaysia
• Partner with the Liquidity Solutions (Group Treasury) team develop the requisite skills to monitor and manage IGF requirements and investment operations tasks

GCC & AIA Re Portfolios Managed to the Investment Objectives

• Responsible for providing quarterly updates to support AIA Re board paper presentations in respect of (i) actions undertaken by the BU CIO and the SRC pursuant to the authorities delegated by the AIA Re Board and (ii) IGF breaches
• Responsible for implementing and operationalizing SAA/TAA changes approved by the Group Asset Committee and AIA Re board, including, among others, the updating of asset/portfolio mandates, governing documents and Investment Management Agreements.
• Proactively support the Head of Ratings and Shareholder Resources Strategy in ensuring appropriate management of GCC Investment Funds, assisting in SAA

 Reviews and ongoing analysis to ensure GCC’s strategic objectives are achieved

Best and Timely Support with AIA Investment Management

• Manage the supervision of GCC Investment Portfolios and coordinate with asset management center for execution
• Manage GCC annual investment budgeting exercise

Smooth Operation of Capital Flows Supporting GCC liquidity

• Proactively support the integration of investment operations and GCC liquidity management
• Perform other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned

Financial and Non-Financial Measures:

• Full compliance with investment governance standards and policies
• Flawless execution with AIA Investment Management

Investment optimization from close coordination with Investment Consulting Unit 

• Close coordination with the newly established IGF Liquidity Solutions team
• New FAM accounts to support SAA implementation timely establishment
• Operationalization of SAA review recommendations - prompt and accurate updating of all investment related documents including Fund & Portfolio Mandates, IMAs
• Thoughtful and proactive contributions to improve the management and supervision of shareholder and AIA Re financial asset resources

• Regular coordination with the Liquidity Solutions IGF team
• Close coordination with GCC Finance on NII analysis and cashflow/investment budgeting and accounting implication of investment decisions
• Close coordination with investment functions at the AIAIM Spore and with Group Capital Management regarding supervision of investment portfolios
• Supervise change management with Investment Operations
• Risk Monitoring by regular engagement with Group Risk
