Support and lead the regional sales team, by managing the sales pipeline, leading them to reach their sales goals, and initiating and supervising country focused projects and activities to support business development. Responsible for the CRM and innovation to support new business development for MNCs and Broker business.Create service guidelines and track performance to enhance AIA positioning in each of the markets in which the Company operates. Contribute to enhance AIA Regional Solutions central service offerings and develop ad hoc channel strategies to support regional business development and drive regional broker partnerships to enhance portfolio growth and profitability. To ensure that AIA Regional Solutions becomes the brokers’ and MNC clients’ preferred Regional Network. To ensure growth and profitability of the brokers portfolio in the region both for the international clients assigned under the regional office responsibility as well as for the local carriers’ portfolio under the responsibility of the country (in cooperation with the regional sales managers for assigned clients and countries). To collaborate effective with global partners and global employees’ benefits networks to maximize new business opportunities for AIA and AIA Regional Solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To create and maintain a business-conducive atmosphere in AIA Group Corporate Solutions (GCS)
- New Business and Pipeline Management lead for acceleration growth
- To monitor proactively the profitability and growth of AIA Regional Solutions and MNCs and Broker portfolios and alert relevant party(ies) within GCS of any cases / partnership’s worth specific attention
- Together with the Director of GCS MNC and Broker Development Team, to be the main contact point for AIA Corporate Solutions Sales Heads across the APAC region
- To create and maintain a business-conducive atmosphere in AIA Group Corporate Solutions (GCS)
- To manage and train the office’s resources and improve their technical and relational skills. To utilize analytics, claims and 2nd accounting stage reporting for optimal client engagement to boost retention and persistency
- To meet the targets of new business production and client retention as defined by AIA GCS MNC and Broker Development Team for the Region
- To prospect and develop relations and partnerships with international brokers, consultants globally and in the APAC region with key responsibility for Hong Kong, Taiwan, Philippines and South Korea
- To support in preparing and presenting multinational programmes proposals for key clients and brokers/consultants and supervise the work done by GCS Sales and Clients servicing Managers for the same type of proposals if the Director is not directly involved on the case
- To maintain regular contacts and effective business relationships with relevant counterparts in the clients, prospects, brokers and consultant organizations
- To organize, attend and contribute towards internally and externally sponsored industry conferences, webinars, seminars, exhibitions and forums under the Director’s supervision. To leverage on social media to contribute to the spread and improvement of AIA Regional Solutions branding in the industry
- To be involved in cross-department projects to improve GCS MNC and Broker Development team’s internal cooperation and enhanced coordination between the commercial arm and GCS underwriting team
- To be a reference point regarding local market practices and standards of the country under the regional office responsibility
Minimum Job Requirements
- At least 10 years seniority within multinational employee benefits market in APAC and equal experience working with brokers and consultants
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Written and verbal knowledge of Chinese Mandarin preferable
- Ability to work with tight deadlines in a multicultural environment
- Advanced knowledge of the employee benefits practices in the major markets across APAC
- Ability to develop and maintain effective business relationships with various stakeholders, internally with AIA and externally with the clients’ and the intermediaries’ organizations
- Willingness to travel extensively (average 60% on annual basis)
