Key Tasks
- In collaboration with stat TA head and/or programming head, to lead the strategic planning of the programming contributions to the development plans, reporting strategies to serve the purposes of regulatory strategy and submissions, health technology assessment and commercial support for AZ products when makes sense.
- Provide leadership on the product so that all work from China team is carried out with regards to AZ standards and are compliant with regulation requirements. Collaboration with AZ counterpart and other TA team members to ensure alignment with TA standards and ensure implementation of functional best practice.
- Set high standards (and enforcing compliance) for programming work for the portfolio product. Provide programming leadership in driving high quality decision support. Provide oversight and work with the team members to hold CRO/Partners accountable for the high quality standards of their deliverables
- Leadership on the development of best practice and operational excellence.
- Leadership on exploration of new opportunities including but not limited to new tools leveraging new technology, streamlining processes, advancing data analysis pipelines and platforms in order to optimize for impact and gain efficiency
- Lead/support team to work across functional and geographical boundaries, with the ability of solving complex problems and finding common grounds
- Provide mentorship and coaching to build high function teams, provide role models for others, build trust, enable collaboration and motivate others
- Represent AZ on external forums in regards to programming and analysis and reporting tools/processes/best practices in general
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Academic / Professional Qualification
Essential
- MSc or higher degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or other related data science majors
- Proficient in SAS or equivalent programming tools
- 8+ years of working experience in the Pharma industry
Technical / Skills Training
Essential
- Proficient knowledge of CDISC standard and industry best practices, as well as proficient knowledge of NDA/BLA regulatory submission requirements
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, and ability to build strong relationships with partners
- Collaborative - has the ability to work with global & across functional boundaries both internally and externally
- Leadership skills to explore new things/ways of working to drive for impact, comfortable with ambiguity when facing uncertainties
- Strategic agility. Ability to inspire and motivate others towards a strategic vision.
Working Experience
Essential
- Minimum 8 years of industry experience
- Leadership skill to lead and direct elements of project work. Comfortable with ambiguity, and drive for impact
- Proven track record of being a leader in certain aspects
