A rare and unique role has come up at the award winning Sofitel Sydney Wentworth. As the new face of this iconic hotel in Sydney, we are currently looking for our next Associate Direct Sales MICE. If you are a true “Heartist”, who loves to connect with guests, loves being a Brand Ambassador and have a passion of delivering world class experiences, then this is the role for you. 

 

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

Preparation and follow-up of conference, group accommodation, social and corporate proposals for direct clients and on behalf of department as required  

Conference, events weekly/ monthly forecast (towards stipulated budget)  

Sell all hotel services, with particular focus on up-sell and add on sales to heighten the client experience and add revenue for the business

Handle all incoming group and MICE leads generated, jointly with the concerned sales division including all communication, negotiation and contracting required

Provide quotations for conference & events and incentive proposals covering venue, function, menu and accommodation costs

Develop active communication and close rapport with convention bureau, state and government bodies, MICE organizers, Sofitel and Accor area sales offices and other

sources of sales information and support

Previous experience in sales management role and hospitality industry

Be highly organized and able to efficiently manage priorities 

Initiate contact and establish rapport easily

Project professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills

Good communication skills – ability & confident to talk to clients

Handle tasks carefully and correctly – be thorough and exact in details with a sense of urgency

Display high energy levels

Remain calm and effective in high volume work situations
