Commercial IT - The Information Management (IM) Data Factory team within AZ deliver against demand from global commercial markets and other CFIT organizations for access, integration, critical metric development and reporting against information in the Commercial IM platform among other initiatives.

The Information Management (IM) Data Factory team member will be involved in delivery of design, integration of new data sources, perform data analysis, implementing ETL processes and design and develop reports related to the Global Commercial Information Management Platform, North America platforms (Sharp, Matrix) and other platforms/projects. The role will work proactively with recommendations on enhancements and provide ongoing maintenance to deployed applications.

We are looking for a highly talented ETL - Data warehouse expert with Data Analysis experience with focus on different Big Data technologies, Python, Amazon Web Services, Snaplogic and Informatica. The professional in this role will be responsible for extracting commercial data from various sources, analyzing and loading it into different data stores, data warehouses, data lakes and data marts.

Job Description

Role and Responsibilities

• Data source profiling - Examine and analyze data in existing data sources and collect information about that data.
• Data source integration - Retrieving heterogeneous data and combing it as an incorporated form and structure.
• Adhoc import - Retrieving data from information sources adhoc by import data from internal and external sources.
• Extract and move commercial data from different data sources to different data warehouses, data lakes and data marts.
• Studies data sources; defining, analyzing, and validating data objects; identifying the relationship among enterprise data objects; bringing correct meaning out of the data.
• Plan data integration process by developing common definitions of sourced data; establishing data integration specifications; examining data applications, data models and data warehouse schema; determining best-fit data interchange methods.
• Participate in activities including support of project and BAU application development, including efforts to plan and design applications.
• Maintains team accomplishments by communicating essential information; coordinating actions; obtaining expert input; reviewing open issues and action items; contributing information to team meetings and reports; transferring knowledge, techniques, and issues to application and support teams.
• Reviews and resolves specific Customer-related issues on a case-by-case basis.
• Support Capability teams by pick-up demands and deliver solutions.

Essential Skills and experience

• ETL development knowledge and good understanding of datawarehouse concept.
• Strong working experience on the cloud-computing platform Amazon Web Services including Amazon Redshift.
• Working experience in data integration tools like Snaplogic and/or Informatica.
• Hands-on experience in SQL scripts writing.
• Hands-on experience in the programming language Python.
• Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent spoken and written English language skills.
• Be able to grasp and understand new technologies and concepts. Proactive approach to problem solving.
• Excellent analytical skills.

Desirable Skills and experience

• Worked in agile environment and should have good understanding of agile methodology.
• Familiarity of different Big Data technologies for example Hadoop, R, Hive etc.
• Awareness of Microstrategy (how data will be consumed).
• Desire to grow/learn/succeed.
• Demonstrate initiative, strong customer orientation, and cross-cultural working.
• Motivation to stay up-to-speed on industry standard methodologies and new technologies.
