THE PRACTICE GROUP
DLA Piper's global employment practice advises clients worldwide on employment legislation, helping them meet their workforce objectives. We can assist with acquisitions, outsourcing, reductions in workforce, expansions, employee relations, data privacy and protection, litigation, compliance and risk management.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drafting memoranda to multinational clients about Chinese legal environment in the employment space
- Providing practical solutions to clients that considers business, operational, wider organizational, and international perspectives, in addition to legal perspective
- Managing, supervising and guiding local firms on labor arbitration and litigation
- Participating in or commenting on employee investigations
- Assisting with employee crisis situations
- Participating in negotiations, meetings and teleconferences with clients, employees, government authorities and other third parties
- Reporting work to supervising partner, working with team members and colleagues outside of the team in other international offices or practice groups
- Managing more junior team members
- Assisting with business development activities such as writing articles, attending events and meeting with clients
SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:
- 3 - 6 years' Employment Law experience
- Proven work experience within a large PRC or International law firm.
- Experience working with multinational clients
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Mandarin are required
- Experience coaching and guiding more junior staff is desirable
- Flexible and adaptable working style
- Able to prioritise workload and works well under pressure
