Job Description
Siemens is seeking an Associate Energy Engineer – Utility Incentive Outreach to join our growing team. As an Associate Energy Engineer with Siemens, you will have a demonstrated interest in energy efficiency and have the right mix of technical ability, data management expertise, and interpersonal skills to educate and inspire energy-saving actions for customers and internal stakeholders that are engaged with local electric and gas utility incentive programs, specifically ComEd. Specific responsibilities will include: team coordination, efficiency project application submission including QA/QC, project processing and oversite, ensuring program compliance and becoming well-versed in the Utility Programs. Candidate will be responsible for fielding phone calls and responding to email inquiries regarding applications or participation in the incentive programs. Support a team of Energy Engineers, Account Executives, and Project Managers with the completion of incentive/rebate applications and submitting them for processing. In some cases, this candidate may be asked to attend to help support and train stakeholders on program requirements and application completion. Responsibilities may also include custom project analysis and support, equipment and technology review and research, as well as attending industry events and trainings. Duties and Responsibilities Coordinate a team of technical and non-technical internal team members, as well, as manage relationships with external Utility Incentive Program Managers Create forecasting and performance reports and dashboards as required using internal databases to extract and present data/information Assist customers to participate strategically in utility programs. Use time effectively to obtain appropriate project information that facilitates quick and timely project application processing Communicate project status to management and impacted team members through use of internal tools Be available and responsive to your team, deliver what you promise, and hear what the customer is saying which includes: Returning customer phone calls within 24 hours Competently understand the Utility Energy Efficiency Programs and required paperwork to apply for incentives and rebates Effectively screen and manage incoming projects to ensure project integrity and documented compliance with program requirements Work collaboratively and communicate well with the Outreach team during the project review process to ensure good communication resulting in a smooth and efficient application submittal. Oversee and proactively manage projects that begin to stagnate and take appropriate action and steps to complete or close the project after considering size, viability, timeline, etc. Support team tracking of opportunities using Salesforce customer management software and Microsoft Planner Administrative tasks and other duties as assigned Requirements Associates, bachelor's degree, and/or other building trades-related experience preferred Experience with protocol compliance; training team members to perform quality/compliance assurance as applications are reviewed for approval or rejection Strong attention to detail and follow-through in a fast-paced environment Exceptional customer service skills Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple time-dependent tasks Background with commercial building systems and controls - particularly HVAC systems, is a plus Well-developed and professional email and written communication skills Ability to learn and operate company proprietary computer software is required Must have a valid U.S. driver’s license, insurance, and a personal vehicle to visit customer sites Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word is required, and experience with a CRM platform, like Salesforce is a plus Knowledge of energy efficiency or the building efficiency industry is a plus Organization: Smart Infrastructure Company: Siemens Industry, Inc.
