Job Title:   Associate Engineer

This role is for an Skype for business/Microsoft Teams Infrastructure Engineer with a decent or good understanding of server, voice and data systems implementation and associated project management methodology is an added advantage. Other work will involve both remote and on-site fault diagnosis as part of our ongoing support commitments.

You must demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and be able to take part  in  dynamic IT projects and support team supplying industry-standard technology solutions across the globe.

Responsibilities:

• 1st or 2nd line incident resolution of applications and data issues related to Skype for Business 2015/Microsoft Teams and related services

• Proactive management of the global infrastructure to maximize performance and reliability
• Monitoring SCOM and Sonus EMS for any service related issues
• Ensure system integrity, security and recoverability.
• Drive opportunities for process and service improvement.
• Deliver solutions to recurring issues to drive process improvement.
• Decent knowledge in ITIL process is an added advantage
   

Essential knowledge, experience and qualifications:

• Good networking knowledge or the basic networking knowledge below is required:

• Difference between Hub, switch & router
• OSI Layers in depth
• TCP/IP, TCP Windowing and UDP Protocols
• DNS and different types of DNS records
• IP Protocols, Classes of IP Addresses
• Subnetting
• What is QoS
• Difference between LAN & WAN
• What is NAT and PAT
• What is a client and what is a Server?

• Any networking certifications like CCNA will be an added advantage
• Basic knowledge of a PBX is an added advantage
• Experienced candidates should have decent client and server knowledge in Lync 2013, Skype for Business. Microsoft Teams knowledge will be an added advantage
• Good Communication skills
• Willingness to learn other technologies like Messaging/Microsoft O365 Exchange & sharepoint
