The Primary function of this role is to execute on assigned New Product Introduction (NPI) and Pursuits programs along with the project lead to design, develop and validate valvetrain components for commercial vehicles. Deliver quality through implementing robust design processes, guidelines and standards, all while ensuring targeted OTD and FTY The key responsibilities of this role include 1. To design standard valve actuation products like rockers arms, hydraulic lash adjustors & advanced VVA mechanism for Engine brakes, Late Intake Valve Closing (LIVC), Cylinder Deactivation (CDA) etc. for commercial vehicles ICE’s 2. Conduct design studies viz packaging check, tolerance stacks, GD&T & perform preliminary engineering calculations 3. Create & release engineering drawings with relevant GD&T & stack up calculations 4. In-depth understanding of CAD modelling, drawings with GD&T, stack up and mfg. processes for EAM products 5.Work with Project lead to coordinate with cross functional teams like manufacturing, test lab, simulation etc. to mature the design and progress technical maturity 6.Promote teamwork and work across organizational functions to timely deliever on expectations Qualifications B.E / B.Tech in Mechanical/Production/Automobile/Aerospace 0 -1 yrs experience Technical Knowledge Experience with Engg drawings ,CAD Basic knowledge on engineering mechanics & solid mechanics basic know how of ICE Basics of manufacturing processes & GD&T Soft Skills Good communication Collabrative working style Learning agility Eaton is an intelligent power management company dedicated to improving the quality of life and protecting the environment for people everywhere.
