Position: Finance Associate
What will you do?
Responsible for the financial operations across Eli countries, which includes but not limited to their billings and payables, commercial agreement maintenance and general day-to-day activities.
Will be reporting directly to Senior Finance Manager.
Duties
- Act as the dedicated single point of contact for all aspects of vendor finance management
- Perform financial review on payments for the region
- Prepare distributor-related journals for quarter-end closing
- Have a complete understanding of distributor billing requirements and contract requirements.
- Manage the Distributor credit note/debit note process
- Maintain the most up-to-date statement of accounts incorporating both Amgen’s billings and distributors’ billings/credits
- Ensure any reconciliations, billing & settlements are adhered to in a timely manner.
- Work with JAPAC Treasury on Cash Receipt process
- Validation of claims from distributors before payment of claims
- Ensure compliance with IICC and policies across all accounts.
- Coordinate with distributors on internal audit to achieve successful audit outcome.
- Be familiar with the distribution agreements and ensure the team is fully aware of key contractual terms.
- Quarter-end close, tax filing and other responsibilities
- Work with outsourced tax agent to prepare quarterly VAT/GST filing and WHT filing for the region
- Timely and accurate response to requests from the Finance team and other business partners
- Providing financial support for the pipeline revenue long-range planning process
- Providing direction to clients on key corporate financial policies such as Sarbanes-Oxley and departmental policies to ensure proper GAAP treatment of functional expenses
- Financial planning and analysis of headcount and operating expenses, supporting the financial forecast, annual budgeting, long-range plan, and quarterly close processes for the Global Marketing - Oncology organization
- Partnering cross-functionally across several stakeholder groups
- Performing ad hoc financial analysis and support special projects as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related
- 1+ years of corporate-level and dynamic finance/accounting experience
- Excellent Excel / PowerPoint skills
- Knowledge of key finance systems (such as SAP, MS Office, Hyperion planning and reporting systems)
- Detail-oriented; strong business analytical skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including familiarity with finance and accounting terms
- Proven ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations and team environment
- Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently under time
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills
- Strong interpersonal skills; ability to influence personnel across functions and level
- Level of English fluency: Fluent
