Job Description *

Translator – English into Hungarian

Are you a junior/newly graduated translator looking to join a professional and supportive in-house team? Working as a translator in our Hungarian language office, you will be responsible for delivering translations of the highest quality on time and within budget. This role can be fully remote from Hungary.

Main Duties:
 

• Translating various documents from English into Hungarian
• Linguistic checking of files in their final format
• Producing quality translations within given timeframes
• Understanding and following SDL’s linguistic processes and procedures
• Oversee the linguistic processes and lead one or several accounts
• Managing terminology effectively
• Using the required translation tools
• Managing your time effectively

Essential requirements:

• A degree in translation
• An internship/first experience in translation is preferred
• Excellent source text understanding
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Good knowledge of translation software such as Trados
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
