Title: Associate, Medical Field Operations: Oncology (1 Year Contract)
Reports to: Medical Director
Location: Mississauga

Role Purpose:
- Supporting the Oncology MSL Team in the responsibilities associated with the implementation and follow up of all planned medical activities
This position is Accountable to:
- Ensure smooth execution of all medical activities
- Ensure quality and compliance in all executed activities
- Ensure timely approval and dissemination of medical slide decks and MSL tools
- Be the point of contact for partnership with Strategic Meeting Management (SMM) & Centre of Excellence (COE) for all MSL activities
- Ensure all activities are conducted as per Amgen SOPs and the IMC code
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in coordinating accredited continuing medical education and learning activities
- Support the execution of scientific advisory boards and speaker programs with regards to invitations, vendor coordination, payments to HCPs, contracts etc.
- Take on ad-hoc projects/tasks
Basic Qualifications
- BSc or MSc degree
Preferred Qualifications
- PharmD, PhD, MD
- Previous experience within Scientific Affairs and/or Continuing Medical Education (CME)
Knowledge:
- An understanding of the pharmaceutical commercialization process, and knowledge of the legal and regulatory guidelines affecting promotion of prescription products
- Familiarity with processes for accreditation of CME materials/programs
- Familiarity with Innovative Medicines Canada Code of Ethical Practice
Skills
- Experienced in planning, organizing and problem-solving to complete multiple deadline-driven projects efficiently and on time
- Excellent communication skills successfully utilized in preparing reports and documents and liaising with senior staff members and external stakeholders. Have interpersonal, organizational, time management, and decision-making skills
- Proven track record in meeting deadlines efficiently, resolving problems independently, using initiative to improve process and working hard to meet organizational objectives
- Knowledge of publication guidelines and best practices
- Familiarity with medical terminology
- Ability to work in teams and interface in a dynamic environment across corporate functions
- Ability to adapt to evolving medical landscape
- Comfortable leading and facilitating team meetings
- Strong computer and database skills, particularly with Microsoft Office products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint) and virtual modes of communication (Webex, Zoom etc.)
- Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills
- Experience with tactical plans execution
