Associate PMO Technical Solution Specialist for Global Language Technology Delivery

The Global Language Technology Delivery (GLTD) Organisation provide outstanding service to the RWS Language Delivery organization and by extension to their customers by offering direct support, application setup, optimization, and process improvements for RWS Language Technology Solutions. Thanks to its global presence within RWS, GLTD works closely with RWS technology users (both internal and external) to deliver innovative technical solutions in response to a wide range of requirements.

About the role

This is a hands-on position that requires an excellent communicator with a solid ability to work as a team. The candidate will be applying knowledge in the technical analysis of assets in order for the team to deliver the highest quality work in the most productive manner. Through tasks and projects, further develops technical skills, techniques and use of methodologies and tools. With guidance from senior technical specialists, the Associate PMO Technical Solution Specialist will be a point of contact for technical quality-related matters and engage with other RWS Departments as required to ensure customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated and will preferably have experience in a similar role.

Key responsibilities include

Consulting and Quality Monitoring activities:

• Evaluate and assist Senior PMO Tech Solution Specialists with the analysis of assets across a wide range of applications (DTP, Engineering, E-Learning)
• Under the supervision of more senior members of the team Assist RWS Sales organization by providing technical expertise to win new businesses
• Improvements to file types and/or improvements to the translation processes
• Effectively communicates within the organization
• Support quality complaints analysis to ensure long-term resolutions by involving the relevant RWS departments
• Process and Knowledge Building Activities
• Keep abreast of the latest localization processes & Technologies 
• Ensures that relevant project documentation is updated and maintained and that changes are communicated to the extended project team
• Build knowledge on a wide variety of localization tools

Communication and Relationships activities:

• Provide user training to internal contacts including, if necessary, translators, and project managers, Ensure that training is thorough and documented through written and recorded training materials to maximize self-learning and self-help by the users after training.
• Builds trustful relationships with peers and technology users alike
• Take guidance from senior members of the teams with queries with the view to developing their technical skills

Previous CAT Tool experience – DESIRABLE

Scripting, Macros, or programming skills (C,.Net Framework) - DESIRABLE

Education and experience

University Degree or demonstrable experience
