This high-profile role in Group AI has a broad lead mandate at the intersection of technology and business. You will steer, align, and collaborate in our 18 markets on an enterprise-wide level to create strategic alignment and value. You drive and spread best practices in the AI creation space

• Significant ownership of the enterprise-wide AI project portfolio

• Translates conversations with business and tech stakeholders into strategy and derived best actions. Able to communicate in a way that achieves true motivation (AI-At the heart of everyone).

• Translate research into business value and actionable insights from large-scale, multi- structured datasets.

• Create successful handshakes between AI Algorithms and downstream teams (e.g. API deployment + app integration)

• Convincingly communicate with our stakeholders at all levels.

• Enable members of the organization to use AI and learn from your expertise.

• Build (deep) AI together with a wide range of collaborators and make sure it goes all the way into the hands of millions of customers. Your solutions are so creative and good that an average person would struggle to believe an “algorithm” can do that.

• Work in a startup atmosphere with blue-chip enterprise scale opportunities

• End-to-end able to take hands-on action and bear responsibility for model development, including data exploration, training data, feature extraction, model development, validation and scoring as well as deployment via API.

• Able to identify and showcase/implement best practices on parallelized compute as well as mass-scale-able systems.

Core

• Coding: Excellent skills in at least one applicable high-level language (for instance, but not limited to Python/Java/C/etc.)

• Demonstrated data science experience from relevant projects (research or industry)

• Expertise in areas related to deployment and integration

• Good skills in parallelized compute, e.g. Spark

• Deep learning experience using deep learning frameworks such as Keras

Experience

• Recognized qualifications in a core quantitative subject at Bachelors or Masters level.

• Real-world experience working as a Data Scientist is a plus

• Insurance data science experience is a plus.

• Excellent English language skill (both spoken and written) is essential.

• Additional Asian language skills are desirable, but not essential.

• Mandarin is a significant plus

Bonus

• Deployment related technologies such as Jenkins are a plus

• Experience with command-line integration and tools is a plus

• Experience with the front-end stack (e.g. React Native, HTML/CSS) is a plus

• Experience with the wider stack of the Spark or Hadoop ecosystem is a plus.

• Experience with large-scale model deployment is a plus.

• Software engineering related experience is a plus

• Software quality testing experience is a plus

• Security/Compliance related experiences are a plus

• Big data (pipelining) experience is a plus
