What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role the Associate QC will under general supervision, be responsible for one or more of the following activities in the Environmental Monitoring Laboratory for Quality Control including laboratory testing, sample and data management.

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Perform routine and non-routine laboratory testing and approval
  • Perform or review disinfectant preparation, room sanitization, sample management and equipment maintenance
  • Perform laboratory documentation and data entry, review, analysis, and communication of results
  • Perform general lab housekeeping
  • Maintain/operate specialized equipment
  • May participate in document revision process
  • May participate in audits, initiatives and projects that may be departmental or organizational in scope
  • Introduce new techniques to the lab, including method transfers, validations, and protocols
  • May conduct lab investigations
  • May interact with outside resources

We are all different, yet we all use our unique contributions to serve patients. The Associate QC professional we seek is an individual contributor with these qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree

OR

Associate’s degree and 4 years of quality and/or operations experience

OR

High school diploma / GED and 6 years of quality and/or operations experience 

Beyond that the additional preferred qualifications are:

  • Educational background in Biology, Medical Technician, Microbiology, Molecular Sciences, Biochemistry, or Biotechnology.
  • Previous experience in a GMP regulated industry
  • Previous experience in Laboratory testing or Research
  • Hands on experience in one or more of the following: Environmental Monitoring, Biological Indicators, Media Fill, Water Membrane Filtration, Colilert Assay, Endotoxin Testing (LAL) and/or Subvisible Particle Testing.
  • Strong organizational skills, including ability to follow assignments through to completion
  • Basic knowledge of and experience with processes involved in manufacturing and distribution, QA, QC, validation, and process development
  • Demonstrate ability to interact with regulatory agencies
  • Strong communication skills (both written and oral)
  • Strong skill in working independently and to effectively interact with various levels
