As a Associate R&D Project Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the execution of one or more R&D projects to meet project targets, in Electrification Business Area in Xiamen, China.

Reporting to the R&D Project Manager, you will coordinate work of local, cross-functional, and global project team.

Your responsibilities

• Managing the allocated project teams and defining with key stakeholders the scope of work, cost/budget, resources required, time schedule and detailed work allocation
• Motivating and leading internal and/or external resources to accomplish all tasks and milestones and leading cross-site and global project team communication
• Monitoring and controlling project cost and financials and reports deviations, ensuring project results are transferred to relevant line organization or department responsible
• Using own technical domain knowledge to provide technical support to colleagues or other functional teams
• Serving as key contact for project stakeholders and effectively communicating appropriate information to in timely manner to achieve desired understanding and support
• Ensuring project follows sound methodology and execution practices in accordance with standard ABB internal directives and procedures
• Ensuring projects follow external standards etc. that influence activities and targets
• Identifying, containing, and reducing risk and making sure that they are properly prioritized, managed and communicated

Your background

• 5 years of work experience in project management, working experience of software engineering and electrical engineering is preferred
• Sound knowledge of full lifecycle management process and regular development process, IPD, Agile, etc
• Global project experience is preferred
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in computer engineering or communication engineering or project management engineering
• Must be proactive, team-oriented, highly responsible, and able to work under pressure
• Must have excellent communication and coordination Skill
• Fluency in Chinese as mother tongue, and English is preferred
